EarthClan Camp

Finally, Jaguar came to his senses and rolled onto his back. Then he clawed Earthstar's belly. But Earthstar refused to howl in pain and instead yanked himself away from Jaguar. Then, he lunged at his throat and bit down until Jaguar stopped breathing. Earthstar padded to his Clanmates, his belly bleeding badly and headed back to camp. Panthersoul was troubled by his leader's heavy bleeding. When they got back to camp, Earthstar collapsed to the ground, losing his first life.

Nightfrost wailed in pain when she saw her leader collasps to the ground. "Earthstar!?" She wailed. Nightfrost had a secret crush on Earthstar but never told him or any other cat. And she couldnt bare to see him loosing his first life.

Earthstar gasped and laid his head down, his pelt damp. "Go get Dawnwhisker!!!" Panthersoul yowled. Meadowbliss bounded over and gasped,shocked at her leader's state.

"Earthstar!!" Nightfrost wailed again. She then buried she muzzel softly into her leader's damp fur.

Dawnwhisker then whisked over and brought a bundle of herbs that she would need for Earthstar.

Meadowbliss grabbed cobwebs to stop the bleeding. "Please stay back, Nightfrost. We need a clear space to work in. Panthersoul, please help Lioneyes take him to the Dawnwhisker and I's den." she mewed calmly.

Nightfrost whimpered but did not disobey. She back away and sat down.

Lioneyes camp as soon as he heard his name. "Help me get him onto my back." Lioneyes mewed.

Dawnwhisker then rushed to her den and began sorting herbs that she knew she would need.

Panthersoul nodded and gently lifted his leader's limp body and helped Lioneyes heave him to Dawnwhisker's den.

Lioneyes padded over to the medicine cats den and gently sat Earthstar on the ground.

Nightfrost crouched on the ground and anxiously waited for the news on Earthstar. She knew that the other cats may find out about her love for Earthstar, but right now she just cared if he will get well.

Meadowbliss and Dawnwhisker finally finished fixing up Earthstar. Meadowbliss padded into the main clearing where the Clan was anxiously waiting for news. "He is alright. Though he now has 8 lives, he's just as strong as before and maybe even stronger. Only one cat is allowed to visit at a time." she mewed and padded back to her den.

Nightfrost jumped to her paws. "May I go and see him?" She asked hopefully

"Yes but be careful, he's still in pretty bad shape. He's awake though." Meadowbliss answered.

"Thank you!" Nightfrost mewed, as she padded very fastly to the medicine cat den.

Earthstar leaped onto Moss Rock. "Cats of EarthClan, now that I am recovered, I will tell you who is going to the Gathering with me." he yowled.

Nightfrost stood beside her mate and listened as he said the names of the cats that are going to the Gathering tonight.

"Nightfrost, Lioneyes, Panthersoul, Dawnwhisker, Meadowbliss, Adderpaw, and Rainpaw will go with me. A very important leader named Firststar will be there so please be on your best behaviour." Earthstar announced. Rainpaw grinned when her name was called.

Cloverpaw stretched and walked out of the apprentice den, Her tan and white fur quite visible in the darkness.

"cloverpaw will come too." Earthstar smiled.

"Go where?" Cloverpaw yawned. "Patrol?"

"no, to the Gathering, mole brain!" Rainpaw mewed.

"Well if you would have woken me up earlier I wouldn't look like a poisonous caterpillar!" She joked starting to groom herself.

Rainpaw giggled. "I can't wait. Adderpaw's going too!" she whispered excitedly.

"Cool!" Cloverpaw said through licks.

Nightfrost looked at her mate and mewed worridly, "Are you sure you are okay?"

Earthstar nodded. "I'll be fine. If not, Firststar can heal me." he shrugged.

Nightfrost looked back up at Earthstar and mewed, "Dont leave me like that again." She whispered.
