"Yes!" Cloverpaw said.

Lioneyes padded out of the camp entrance, with Cloverpaw at his side.

Cloverpaw followed happy to be doing something.

Lioneyes looked over at the apprentice and smiled. "Lets go to the WindClan border. After the Gathering they might wanna pull something and see if we dont notice." Lioneyes mewed in a snarl at the thouht of WindClan.

Reedpaw ran after them. "I wanna go too please!" he panted, his long whiskers twitching.

"Come on Reedpaw!" Lioneyes saw the apprentice and welcomed into the patrol.

Reedpaw grinned and caught up to them.

"Okay! Come on Reedpaw!" Cloverpaw said happily.

Reedpaw trotted up to Cloverpaw, smiling.

Lioneyes soon go up to the WindClan border. Their markers were fresh, "Cloverpaw, Reedpaw. Would one of you like to set the markers?" He asked.

Reedpaw nodded eagerly.

"Go for it." Lioneyes turned away so Reedpaw could mark the borders.

Reedpaw quickly marked a nearby tree. "There we go!" he grinned.

"Great now we can hunt for the Clan." Lioneyes mewed, locking his gaze on a squirrel.

"Yes!" Said cloverpaw.

Lioneyes made one swift leap and then trapped the plump squirrel under his paws. He then bent over and gave it the killing bite. "There, now that is a great start. I can tell this is going to be a great hunting day." He mewed with a purr as he parted his jaws and tasted the air.

Reedpaw saw a mole pop it's head out of it's burrow. He stealthily plucked it out of the earth and killed it. It was huge and plump.

"Great catch, Reedpaw!" Lioneyes mewed with happiness.

"Thanks." Reedpaw beamed, his green eyes bright.

After the great hunting the patrol did, they left with two plump squirrels, three mice and Reedpaw's vole. They then headed home.

Cloverpaw fell back behind the rest of the patrol her head hung.

Lioneyes looked back at Cloverpaw and dropped his catch. "Cloverpaw? Whats wrong?" He asked as he trotted over to the she-cat.

"I didnt catch anything for my clan." She said sadly. "What kind of an apprentice does that make me?" She said looking up her striking green eyes filled with sadness.
